Before Labor (prenatal support)

  • At least 1 prenatal visits in your home. This will give us time to get acquainted with each other, define your expectations for the birth, discuss options, concerns, and fears, and ask questions.

  •  Assistance in preparing a birth plan and discussing all available options depending on your unique pregnancy needs ie VBAC, Natural Birthing, Unassisted Childbirthing... 

  •  Objective handouts about topics that may be concerning you or that you would just like more information on. I will present and discuss all of the pros and cons but leave the decision up to you. I will support whatever decisions you make.

  •  A suggested list of books and videos.

  •  Phone contact as needed and desired.  The calls can be for information, to ask general questions, and, of course, for labor support.

  •  Discussion of my availability around your due date.

During Labor: (labor support)

  • Early labor phone contact for information and for us to decide when and where to meet. I usually need approximately three hour to get to you from the time you call to secure childcare for my own children and for travel time to you.

  •  I will stay with you from the time you want or need a doula throughout the labor and birth. I will remind you of the little but very helpful things, such as to change positions, drink water, go to the bathroom. I will let you know all of your options that are available to you at any given moment.

  •  I will use my knowledge and experience to provide you with physical comfort and emotional support.

  •  I will help you and your partner by offering reassurances, assistance, suggestions, and information as we have discussed previously.

After Birth: (postnatal support)

  •  I will stay until you are comfortable and your family seems ready for quiet time together. I will help with the initial breastfeeding if necessary. All of this usually takes one to two hours.

  •  I will contact you by phone to answer questions, check on your well being, briefly review your labor and birth, and arrange a convenient time to meet for your postpartum visits.

  •  I will meet with you anywhere from 3-6 times after the birth to review the birth experience with you, clarify events that took place around you, to admire your baby, and receive feedback from you about my own role.

Soul Oasis Doula Package includes:

  • Free consultation

  • 1 Prenatal visit (2nd as needed)

  • Identification of your support needs 

  • Unlimited phone consultations continually throughout pregnancy and postpartum

  • 24 hour on-call availability during your due date range (4 weeks)

  • Continuous birth support

  • Upto 6 Postpartum visit (including our postpartum recovery kit and food preparation) *additional fee required

  • Discounts available from other Soul Oasis services childbirth preparation, baby shower assistance (convenient gift certificates to help pay for your doula services ) massage, acupressure, hypnobirthing.....

  • Ongoing support as needed and extensive referral services including lactation support

 

Doula Fees

Birth doula services  $350 

Postpartum doula services $25 an hour or $300 our 6 visit package

For BOTH the Birth and Postpartum doula service $625
